I am swooning over here. Almanzo has won me over again, and I cannot put this book down! I forget how durn good they are. I left the kids in the dust of Little Town on Prairie when things started to get too mature, but I had to keep going. Ma and Pa's wise sayings fill our chalk board these days. "A dog that will fetch a bone, will carry a bone." Hmmm, that one had me thinking for a while. I find myself chanting, "Where there's a will there's a way!" Next on the list is to try and keep my voice gentle and soft like Ma. "Wise as a serpant, gentle as a dove." Pa teased.
