2014

Here we go. 2014.  Last night Eric and I went to see Inside Llewyn Davis. It was good, but oddly, puzzling.  A few too many loose ends for my taste. We bought the soundtrack this morning and it has been ushering in our New Year with its lovely ballads. I am trying to contemplate what this New Year will bring for me, this blog, our family.  I hope it will have another sewing project, more books, less complaining. My bathrooms are clean which is a good start I guess.  Myles finished the first Harry Potter book today, something of a milestone in my mind. He was quite satisfied with his accomplishment. Fiona received her own sewing machine from an distant aunt, (taking the prize for the favorite gift) and I gave a Eric a mandolin.  And there will be a wedding! My brother's. My future sister is so gracious that she is even alluding to the fact that she might let us help her do a little planning.

We are batting down the hatches for a good ole' snow storm. I am hoping it comes in time to cancel school tomorrow. We aren't quite ready to emerge. For now its a gin and tonic and some Muppets.

PS. Fiona was an angel in our Christmas pageant.

Wishing you a beautiful (if eventful) 2014! Congrats to your kiddos on Harry Potter and playing an angel. ;)
